Developed by Erchonia™, the industry leader in low level laser technology, the Zerona™ laser quickly and painlessly breaks down the fat cell membrane of the areas being treated, stimulating the body to rid itself of the excess fat.  In a recent controlled study submitted by Erchonia™ Laser to the FDA, more than 80% of patients treated with the Zerona™ laser demonstrated a significant decrease in the circumference of their waist, hips or thighs just three weeks after beginning treatments!

The typical Zerona™ Laser Liposculpture treatment takes about a half hour and requires six treatment sessions over a two week period of time.  To achieve best results, we advise our patients undergoing the treatment to drink plenty of fluids and wear a liposculpture compression garment during the two week period.  In addition, recent evidence suggests that taking niacin (vitamin B3) during the same two week treatment period may greatly enhance the Zerona™ Laser Liposculpture results.

Frequently Asked Questions About Zerona™ Laser Liposculpture Treatments

Is the procedure painful?
The Zerona™ is a low-level “cold” laser that emits a painless beam of light which targets the fat cells beneath the skin.

Will I feel any different after the procedure?
You should feel the same after your treatment as when you arrived in our office.

How important is it to wear the compression garment and to drink plenty of fluids during the two week treatment period?
These are essential if you want to achieve the best results.

Are Niacin (Vitamin B-3) pills and cream helpful?
For those who can tolerate the flushed feeling that niacin can sometimes cause, and do not have any medical contraindication to taking it, oral and topical niacin used during the two week treatment has been shown to significantly enhance the fat removal effect of the Zerona™ laser.

Will the Zerona™ get rid of cellulite?
The Zerona™ laser reduces contours due to excess fat, not cellulite.

Will the fat deposit “elsewhere?”
Fat removed by the Zerona™ is metabolized and removed by the body.  There is no evidence that this fat deposits elsewhere.

Can the fat return?
As with liposuction, gaining weight by poor diet and exercise habits may undo the results of the Zerona™ laser.

When can I expect to see the results?
Typically the results are seen about one week after completion of your Zerona™ laser treatment.

If I want more fat removed, can I have liposuction surgery later?
Yes.  In fact Dr. Stern uses the same Zerona™ laser during liposuction surgery to liquefy the fat and enhance the results of the procedure.
