For many years, the Stern Center has been at the forefront of facial laser cosmetic
procedures. We recently acquired the state-of-the-art Sciton Profile™ Laser system and are excited to offer the most comprehensive menu of laser treatments available.  Because every face is unique, Dr. Stern believes a skin rejuvenation plan should be customized to each person’s specific problem.   For those with significant sun damage and wrinkles, we can perform everything from deep laser resurfacing peel to smooth and tighten your skin maximally, to a gentler MicroLaserPeel™, or our newest ProFractional™ laser treatment.  

For those with deep wrinkles and extensive sun damage, Dr. Stern uses state-of-the-art CO2 and Erbium lasers to rejuvenate the skin through laser resurfacing. In treating a mild to moderate amount of facial sagging, these lasers may be the preferable treatment over a face lift. Dr. Stern's artistic technique of laser facial rejuvenation is far less invasive, less expensive and heals much more quickly than a traditional face lift. Not only can wrinkles and sun damage be reduced or eliminated, but the skin tightens simultaneously. The healing process takes about 10 days, with glowing skin becoming more attractively tighter and smoother.

For those individuals with fine wrinkles and milder sun damage who have little time for recovery, our erbium MicroLaserPeel™, also known as the “Weekend Peel”, might be an excellent alternative to a deep laser resurfacing peel. The MicroLaserPeel™ is an intra-epidermal erbium laser peel that precisely ablates the outermost layer of skin. Unlike the deeper laser peels, sun damage and wrinkles of the neck and chest may be treated as well as the face. The procedure takes about a half hour and is performed using topical anesthetic gel and our new Syneron® Cooling device, reducing discomfort to a minimum. Healing takes about 3 days—the true “Weekend” Peel! 
We’re also pleased to announce our new Sciton South Beach Peel ™, combining the sun damage reducing effects of BBL™ Photorejuvenation, with the smoothing effects of the MicroLaserPeel™ all in one!
For those wanting simple tightening and smoothing of wrinkles, age spots, traumatic scars and acne scars without resurfacing and with  little to no down time, we can use the revolutionary, state-of-the-art ProFractional™ laser.  The ProFractional™ uses laser energy to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin which are surrounded by areas of healthy, untreated skin.  The zones of untreated skin revitalize the body’s natural healing process, and the treated areas stimulate production of new collagen, plumping up the skin and smoothing out wrinkles, lines, scars and other irregularities.  Since only a fraction of the skin is directly treated with the laser at one time, healing is quick and downtime is short. In addition, besides the face just about any area of the body can be treated with the ProFractional™ laser, including the neck, chest and hands!
