Dr. Stern has extensive experience in BOTOX® Cosmetic injection treatments, and is one of the top cosmetic BOTOX® Cosmetic injectors in the Seattle area and Washington State. Dr. Stern is an Instructor of the BOTOX® Cosmetic National Education Faculty.  In addition, because of his expertise Dr. Stern was selected as the only Botox Cosmetic® injector in Washington State to participate in the nationwide One World Sight Project ”Botoxathon” to help cure blindness in Africa.

BOTOX® Cosmetic has been used for many years in the treatment of eyelid and facial spasms. Most recently, BOTOX® Cosmetic injections has been shown to be effective in reducing or eliminating forehead lines, frown lines, crows feet around the eyes, lipstick lines, and wrinkles and webbing of the neck. BOTOX® Cosmetic injections can also be used in many patients to create a "brow lift" effect without surgery.

In addition, BOTOX® injections have been shown to effectively reduce excessive sweating, an uncomfortable condition known as hyperhydrosis. Recent studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of BOTOX® in reducing the frequency of migraine and tension headaches in some individuals. While not a cure for these types of headaches, BOTOX® injections seems to be a useful form of treatment for these often debilitating conditions.

Dr. Stern finds that BOTOX® Cosmetic injection is more likely to have a long lasting effect when a series of injections are given over a course of approximately 12 to 18 months. In many cases, Botox® Cosmetic may enhance the rejuvenating effects of laser resurfacing. For the ultimate wrinkle reduction effect, BOTOX® Cosmetic may be injected along with Juvederm®, Restylane®, Perlane®, Radiesse® Collagen, Cosmoplast®, or other fillers.

Dr. Stern is an instructor of both the Radiesse® Medical Education Faculty and the Botox® Cosmetic National Education Faculty, and instructs other physicians from around the U.S. in the proper facial injection techniques of these products. In addition, unlike many offices in the Seattle area, Dr. Stern performs all of the facial injections himself.
