The Stern Center for Aesthetic Surgery, PC, in Bellevue, WA, was founded in 1997 by Dr. Fredric A. Stern. Following his education at Columbia University Medical School, Dr. Stern earned his Board Certification in Ophthalmology at the University of Washington, and underwent extensive additional training in ophthalmic plastic and laser facial surgery. In 1987, he joined Virginia Mason Medical Center, heading the Department of Ophthalmology and serving as Director of the Oculoplastic Surgery Division for 10 years. While at Virginia Mason, Dr. Stern performed an extensive number of cosmetic laser procedures.

Dr. Stern has been chosen as one of a select group of Instructors of the Botox ®Cosmetic National Education Faculty, as well as the Radiesse® Medical Education Faculty.    In addition, Dr. Stern is a preceptor for Sciton Laser, Inc.

In 2001, Dr. Stern trained with Dr. Jeffrey Klein, inventor of tumescent liposuction and a pioneer in the field. Since that time, Dr. Stern has performed an extensive number of liposuction cases using Dr. Klein’s technique of microcannular tumescent liposuction under completely local anesthesia.

Dr. Stern has instructed colleagues from around the world on the latest advances in laser cosmetic surgical techniques. In addition, Dr. Stern has been performing Botox® injection treatments since 1994, and is one of the top Botox® injectors in Washington State. Because of his extensive experience, Dr. Stern has been chosen as one of a select group of Instructors of the Botox ®Cosmetic National Education Faculty, as well as the Radiesse® Medical Education Faculty.

Dr. Stern is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Society of Liposuction Surgery, as well as a member of the Cosmetic Surgery Society of the Northwest. In addition, over the past several years, Dr. Stern has appeared on Northwest Afternoon, Evening Magazine, as well as KOMO, KIRO and Q13 news, discussing and demonstrating the latest techniques in facial and eyelid laser cosmetic surgery, Botox® and liposuction. In his spare time, Dr. Stern is also a published author, having written a medical thriller, The Sigma Project.
